How to playback AEX videos

Most of our video are encoded to MPEG4-ASP (XviD) or MPEG4-AVC / h.264 (x264) formats, while audio tracks are compressed to MP3 (LAME) or AAC (NeroAACEnc) format. Both are then stored in AVI or MKV (Matroska) files. In order to be able play them you need a player to open the files and a decoder able to decoded these kinds of audio and video tracks.

The followings are software suggested by AEX Staff (this means that they are the ones we use, not that they are absolutely the best!):

- Windows: player: Media Player Classics -> Here
If you experience problems during playback try to install ffdshow tryouts (please, uncheck "skip deblocking always" options of h.264 decoder for better results (screenshot))

- Mac OS: player: VideoLAN VLC -> Here

- Linux: player: VideoLAN VLC -> Here
